Building a unified sustainable development goal database: Why does sustainable development goal data selection matter?

The 2020s are an essential decade for achieving the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). For this, SDG research needs to provide evidence that can be translated into concrete actions. However, studies use different data, resulting in incomparable findings. Researchers primarily databases provided by United Nations (UN), World Bank Group (WBG), Bertelsmann Stiftung & Solutions Network (BE-SDSN). We compile these one unified database examine effects of data selection on our understanding interactions. Among databases, we observed more than similar Differences synergies trade-offs mainly occur SDGs environmentally oriented.
